In 2007, a suggestion to bathe in Italy's free, public outdoor sulfuric baths ("terme") to heal mosquito bites sparked my deep fascination with their culture and history. I sought out obscure, accessible spots, finding a spiritual experience at "Parco Della Mola" in Viterbo.
