Soheila Azadi is a socially engaged artist and writer whose time-based work—performance, video, sound, textile, and interactive sculpture—turns human interactions into transient "social sculptures." Drawing on her experience as a Muslim-born woman from Iran and an immigrant in the U.S., she examines imposed gender and racial separations and creates spaces for dialogue about oppression and community-based liberation.
