Inspired by the transition between her life in Japan and Chicago, Kumiko explores how seemingly ordinary environments conceal complex, often artificial layers of reality. Her project, "Waiting for Spring," examines the human tendency to create extraordinary moments within everyday life, specifically through the jarring yet beautiful arrival of flowers after a long winter.
