Holly stages a series of material performative moments—from a fishnet tunnel of painted oranges to a red-wig-framed singing face, an electrical cord pulled from an opaque bath, and a clay block punched while tied to a tree—to evoke the raw sensations of what they call “PTSD-brain.” These works prioritize physical gestures, tension, and material constraints over narrative or language, letting objects dictate the emotive actions that communicate post-traumatic feeling.
